Through lecture, exercises, and discussion, participants will gain an understanding of the HF Alkylation process, operation, and advanced issues of the unit.
This course covers the fundamentals as well as some more in-depth issues of the UOP HF Alkylation Process. This is an instructor led on-line course using an interactive platform to provide the theoretical and practical knowledge needed to efficiently and safely operate HF Alkylation Units. Led by experienced UOP process specialists, the course covers process flow and equipment, unit operation, feed contaminants, troubleshooting, safety, materials of construction, and corrosion. Participants will also explore ways to ensure optimum corrosion management and operations control for reliability and performance.
This on-line course will be live and led by the UOP team of HF Alkylation specialists, allowing for real-time questions and discussion. Similar to our classroom courses, this is format is designed to encourage interaction and information sharing among participants. It includes lecture, discussion, and problem-solving activities to help relate course material to typical operating conditions and problems encountered in the field.
This class will be conducted by remote virtual instructor-led conferencing that will meet in 2 sessions per day for 3 days on September 15-17 (Standard Course) and for 2 days on September 22-23 (Advanced Course). the sessions will be held 9:00 AM - 12:00 Noon and 1:00 PM - 3:30 PM Central Daylight Time each day. 1 or 2 breaks of 10-15 minutes will be taken during each session. This course is designed for process engineers and operations personnel who work with the UOP HF Alkylation Process or supervise those who do.
Also the course will provide further emphasis on reliability and mechanical integrity of piping and equipment and will look closely at some of the current corrosion concerns that are unusual and particular to the HF Alkylation unit. Economics of HF Alkylation unit operation will be covered as well as risk control. Troubleshooting strategies will be discussed and participants will have the opportunity to discuss specific problems and review possible solutions.
